Coming Soon

I'm currently working on a triptych inspired by the Parable of the Prodigal Son.  I'm done with one--the daughter's perspective.  My next posts will be on the father's and angel's perspectives.  Soon!

An Invitation

As human beings, we are designed to connect to our God. In the past five and a half years, I've discovered that the easiest way for me to tune in is by praying and reading my bible.

Prayer is my way to communicate what's in my heart and mind to God. Reading my bible is one of God's way of communicating with me. I'm sharing some of my conversations with Him. Come. Join our conversation.
I love paintings, photographs, good music, art films and excellent food. Anything creative inspires me to appreciate and create myself.  These snapshots of God's universe remind me God's creativity and how awesome He is!  I can't even fathom how He thought of and created the earth, water and human beings.  He is the most creative being in the universe!  If I can just tap in to some of that creativity, steal some of His ideas and be a vessel of His beauty, my life will be more than blessed.

today is a new day

Yes, I've had many new days.
New chapters.
New lives.

I picture my work room.
Tables, chairs, and yes a great view:
Forest trees surrounding a swamp.

It's decent,
It's limited.

When I look up,
I see your doors.
Just infinite doors opening up.
I walk into a door,
And then there's that other door.
I can't see the treasures yet,
Hazy, nebulous, nothing particularly clear.
I can't see what's inside those rooms.

All I know is that I have a sense of joy.
I know I am where I am supposed to be.

I look down I see my work room.
I look up,
I see possibilities,
Eternity.

Thank you, God, for this new day.
Thank you, for this gift of now,
And forever.

Thank you, God, for this new day.

  1. It was awesome spending Sunday with you. From the run (that probably cleared your head and well, mine), to bfast, church and the many sessions in the house. I am truly blessed and proud to be your friend. Thanks for everything, Sacha. And yes, here's to new beginnings and second chances.

  2. Hi, Pau! Yes, yesterday was a perfect day. It reminded me of the old truth that says it doesn't matter what happens on the outside. What's important is what's in our hearts and thoughts, and as long as He fills us with His love and golden wisdom, our cup runneth over. Thanks for being a wonderful sister in Christ! We can't walk this journey alone ;-p
